The finished lala

So it took me two days with many breaks to get all the other stuff done but Reece's first handmade lala is complete. I've already received several request to make a doll for friends/family kids! Lol the pattern itself is super easy. Although I used the wrong fabric. My faux suede had a light sherpa backing making it harder to turn out but still turned out great! The hardest part? The yarn hair! I should have gone out and bought chunky wool like the pattern asked for but figured I could get away with what I had left her. It still turned out great but just took longer as I needed more rows.  I think next time I may try the fabric hair and see how that goes. The fabric hair pattern was a separate purchase but you can turn them into wigs with lining so the child can play hairdresser. I know Matt like to pay with them and asks for boy dolls. I love that I can make the boy versions for him. The versatility of these are just super!
